Pot and Card, in three steps.

Two ideas we are exploring. Neither is available yet. How each one would work.

02 · Before the spend

Pot

Not available yet

Everyone puts money in first. The group spends from it.

How it would work

  1. Create a pot for the plan and set the rules together.
  2. Each person adds their contribution, visible to all.
  3. A member pays from the pot, within the agreed limits.

For example

The family weekend budget

Two parents set aside €200 for family weekends.

They agree on a €50 limit for each outing.

Every outing paid from the pot is visible to both.

What stays true

  • Your money stays yours until you decide to put some in.
  • Nothing leaves the pot outside the rules the group agreed on.

03 · During the spend

Card

Not available yet

You pay with the group's card. The split happens at the same moment.

How it would work

  1. The group agrees on a split before the purchase.
  2. One person pays with the card, like any card.
  3. Each member's share is charged to them, right then.

For example

Dinner with friends

Five friends agree to split the bill equally.

One of them pays the €150 dinner with the card.

Each of the five is charged €30, at that moment.

What stays true

  • Each member authorises how their money can be used, before any payment.
  • Launch would depend on a card partner and the required approvals.
