Everyone logs what they fronted
Rent by shares when the rooms differ, groceries equally, the subscription at its exact amount.
The balance updates live
You see what you owe or what you are owed, in your currency.
Pay in the app, if you choose
You can keep using Spliz to track expenses. If your group chooses in-app payment, balances settle in USDC on Base once the required approvals and funds are in place. Check the payment details and fee before signing.
A worked example
A flat of 3, one month
- Rent $1,500 paid by Sam (rooms 40 / 30 / 30%). Groceries $300 paid by Ali, equally. Internet $60 paid by Jo, equally.
- Balances: Sam +$780, Ali -$270, Jo -$510.
- With the required approvals and funds in place: Ali and Jo pay Sam, in USDC.
Spliz fee: 0.1% of the $780 that moves, so $0.78 for the whole flat.

Common questions
Do we need a joint account?
No. Everyone keeps their money in their own wallet. Nothing is pooled; money moves straight between you at settlement.
Can we pay the landlord through Spliz?
No, Spliz settles between roommates. Whoever pays the rent logs it as an expense; the others pay their share back at settlement.
What if a roommate has no USDC?
They buy some in-app by card through Coinbase (partner fees apply), and can withdraw what they receive to their bank account.
What does $450 of monthly bills cost?
Nothing to track. At settlement, 0.1% of what moves: at most $0.45 for the whole flat.
