Pay in the app, if you choose
You can keep using Spliz to track expenses. If your group chooses in-app payment, balances settle in USDC on Base once the required approvals and funds are in place. Check the payment details and fee before signing.
A worked example
A weekend for 4, in numbers
- Villa $800 paid by Lea. Car $240 paid by Tom. Groceries and dinners $360 paid by Nina.
- Total $1,400, so $350 each. Balances: Lea +$450, Nina +$10, Tom -$110, Max -$350.
- With the required approvals and funds in place: Tom and Max pay, Lea and Nina receive, in USDC, in one transaction.
Spliz fee: 0.1% of what moves (here $460), so $0.46 for the whole group. Network fees are on us.

Common questions
Does it work if we don't live in the same country?
A group can include friends in different countries. Payments use USDC on Base, and each person can view expenses in their chosen currency. Buying and withdrawing USDC depend on the partner’s country coverage.
What if a friend has no USDC?
They buy some in the app, by card, through our partner Coinbase (partner fees apply, Spliz adds nothing). They can also withdraw what they receive to their bank account, from the app.
Does everyone need to install the app?
To log and follow, no: the link is enough, everyone joins as a guest with a first name. To sign the settlement, yes, with Google, Apple or an existing wallet; the wallet is created at sign-in.
What does a $1,200 trip cost?
Nothing to track. At settlement, 0.1% of what moves, $0.10 minimum: at most $1.20 for the whole group, shown before you sign.
