How to do it
One person pays the bill
They create the dinner's Spliz, or reopen it if it already exists.
They log the total and the split
Equally, or exact amounts for the one who skipped the wine. The built-in calculator does 45/3 for you.
The others join by link
With a first name, as guests. Everyone sees their share in their currency.
Pay in the app, if you choose
You can keep using Spliz to track expenses. If your group chooses in-app payment, balances settle in USDC on Base once the required approvals and funds are in place. Check the payment details and fee before signing.
A worked example
A dinner for 4
- Bill $96 paid by Ines, tip included. Three equal shares, Karim skipped dessert: $26, $26, $26, $18.
- Balances: Ines +$70, the other three -$26, -$26, -$18.
- With the required approvals and funds in place, one transaction pays Ines back in USDC.
Spliz fee: 0.1% of the $70 that moves, so the $0.10 minimum.

Common questions
Can we split by dish?
You pick equal, by shares, or an exact amount per person. No receipt scanning: you type the amounts, the calculator finishes the arithmetic.
What about the tip?
Log the total with the tip in; it splits with the rest.
My friends don't have the app
They join by link with a first name to see their share. To sign, they sign in with Google or Apple; the wallet is created on the spot.
What does an $80 bill cost?
$0.10 for the whole table, the minimum, shown before you sign.
