The gift, the card, the drinks after work. Someone fronts each one; everyone can see their share.

The gift and the drinks do not always involve the same colleagues. Create a farewell group, then choose who shares each expense. The person who bought the gift can see what they are owed; those staying for drinks share their own bill.

How to do it

    Colleagues join in the app with a name, no account. The person leaving stays out of the group.

    Whoever buys the gift adds it. Whoever pays the tab adds it. Equal shares by default.

    Everyone chips in for the gift; only those who came split the drinks. Pick the people on each expense.

    Pay back in cash, by bank transfer or with your payment app, then record the repayment in Spliz.

A send-off for 8

  • Gift $120 paid by Inès, split between 8: $15 each. Drinks $90 paid by Marco, split between the 6 who came: $15 each.
  • Balances: Inès +$90, Marco +$60, the 4 others who came -$30 each, the 2 who skipped the drinks -$15 each.
  • Record the repayment made elsewhere in Spliz.

The group can see what each person owes and record repayments as they happen.

Common questions

Can we collect the money before buying the gift?

No. Spliz does not collect money. One person fronts the gift, everyone sees their share, and the group pays them back outside the app before recording it.

Does the person leaving have to be in the group?

No. Create the group without them; they never see the gift or the shares.

What if a colleague joins late?

Add them to the gift expense. Every share updates and everyone can see the new amount.
