You can keep using Spliz to track expenses. If your group chooses in-app payment, balances settle in USDC on Base once the required approvals and funds are in place. Check the payment details and fee before signing.
A worked example
A birthday gift for 6
- Gift $240 paid by Lina, equally across 6: $40 each. Venue $120 paid by Omar, equally: $20 each.
- Net balances: Lina +$180, Omar +$60, the other four -$60 each (what Lina and Omar owe each other is netted).
- With the required approvals and funds in place, one transaction moves $240 in USDC.
Spliz fee: 0.1% of the $240 that moves, so $0.24 for the whole group.

Common questions
Is this a money pool?
Not in the sense of a pot where money sits before the purchase. With Spliz one person fronts and the group pays them back at once. Same outcome (everyone pays their share), without anyone holding the others' money.
Can we add people who haven't replied yet?
Yes, by first name. They join by link whenever they like, with no account.
What if someone drops out?
Until the settlement is signed, you can change the split. Once settled, it's final.
What does $300 cost?
Nothing to organise. At settlement, 0.1% of what moves: at most $0.30 for the whole group.
